About Alick
I worked for a community based organization, CARITAS, as the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for over 3 years. My work entailed working with women and girls with the majority being youths. It also involved working with adolescents and young people whom I trained into making a change in their communities. I oversaw four projects in terms of planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. I was responsible over providing technical assistance to the implementing teams both at local level and at community level as I was working hand in hand with various identified community gate keepers. I coordinated the development of data capturing and reporting tools which were used to collect and report on various interventions we were implementing across all the projects. As such, I coordinated and facilitated trainings to the identified community gate keepers in research techniques and skills so as to ensure they effectively participated in the provision of quality data across programs. I also coordinated the development of various tools such as the pre and post training questionnaires and quality checklists which were used in assessing the quality of training done. I was responsible over coordinating monitoring and reporting and in ensuring that the collected data is of high quality and was being produced on time. For over 3 years, I was responsible over dealing with large volumes of information, assimilating it to ensure it is simplified for various audiences and in ensuring quality reports were produced. I have advanced skills in Information Technology (IT) and Microsoft office applications, including basic trouble shooting. I also have experience in working with various statistical packages such as access and SPSS. I also have hands on experience in development of successful business proposals. I have a registered business and one the things I specialize in is in the generation of viable business proposals for clients. I also offer computer literacy studies and research services to students. I am a generally social and outgoing person and some of my hobbies include reading, traveling, playing soccer and learning new things.
